The Rose Chafer is a writer of songs.
From the melancholy and dreamy songs of Early Works to the soothing and playful folk instrumentals of Sketches, each project has its own sound. Lyrical and sonic imagery is at the centre of The Rose Chafer’s approach to making music.
Her two latest EPs – Seoulidification and Dragonfly Garden – draw on The Rose Chafer’s experiences in the summer of 2023, when she spent a month traveling in Korea. With whimsical musings, light guitars and digital programming, the six songs offer different interpretations of the country.
