In the summer of 2023 I spent a month in South Korea, “chasing ideas and hunting inspiration.” On July 20 I will release my third EP, titled Seoulidification.
With this three-track project, I hope to share with you some of the things I found in the big city of Seoul – albeit with a sensible dash of make-believe. In many ways I found Seoul to be a very tangible city. At the same time it has a somewhat mythical quality to it. Like others before me, I have tried my best to make some lyrical sense of it.
In order to capture my impression of Seoul in sound, I teamed up with a proficient and prolific guitarist and K-pop producer I met on my travels. To top it off, one of the tracks features one of my favourite fingerstyle guitarists. Needless to say, I am incredibly excited to show you the result of this transcontinental collaboration.
