The EP project pushed me out of my comfort zone in more than one way. The thing that undoubtedly held the most potential discomfort for me was the portrait photography and teaser filming. I had very clear ideas about what kinds of pictures and clips I wanted, but I had no clue as to whether or not I would be able to clearly communicate and do what I envisioned.
My worries about the photoshoot subsided somewhat after contacting and meeting with photographer Johanne Nyborg (whose work I have admired since our high school days). Then, as she found and showed me potential locations and we settled some more of the details, I actually started to look forward to the photo and film session. On the day of the shoot the weather was gorgeous, providing good natural light and making it less troublesome to carry a wooden chair across town. Add to that a photographer who is patient, attentive and creative, and I was actually able to enjoy myself in spite of my own awkwardness.

I løpet av EP-prosjektet laut eg i fleire høve trø utanfor mi eiga komfortsone. Det å skulle stå framfor kameraet var definitivt ein av dei tinga som hadde potensiale til å føre med seg mykje ubehag. Eg hadde ein temmeleg tydeleg idé om korleis eg ville at artistportretta og teaser-videoane skulle sjå ut, men eg var usikker på om eg ville klare å vidareformidle det eg hadde tenkt ut.
Den verste uroa forsvann heldigvis etter at eg hadde teke kontakt og hatt planleggjingsmøte med Johanne Nyborg (som for øvrig har vore ein favorittfotograf sidan vi gjekk på vidaregåande). Etter kvart som ho fann høvelege lokale til fotograferinga og vi fekk på plass endå fleire detaljar, tok eg faktisk til å sjå fram til hendinga. Ypparleg vêr med gode lysforhold og knirkefri stoltransport gjennom byen gjorde sitt til at eg kunne senke herdane då dgen var der. Men det aller viktigaste i so måte, var ei tolmodig, merksam og kreativ Johanne. Innimellom kleine augneblinkar, klarte eg faktisk å nyte dagen.
